Fabulous Friday!!!!!

We pretty much PARTIED all day.....it was great!  Thanks to all of the wonderful parents, aunts, and grandmas who helped by getting projects ready, sending in much needed items and hanging out with us to get it done!  I love having you here so you can witness, first-hand, what an amazing group of kindergartners we have in Room 2!!!!!!!!

Thursday!

What can I say.....we were WAY too busy to snap even one photo and I can't really tell you what we were doing because it's a SURPRISE!!!!!  Your darling children had a happy, fun day working on fine-motor jobs, literacy jobs, math tubs and lots of getting organized tasks.  They are indeed amazing!!!!!  Our favorite book of the day was "Merry Christmas Big Hungry Bear"!

Wednesday!

We are busy little elves in here.....working on all sorts of stuff along with trying to have as much merriment as possible in Room 2.

We listened to wonderful stories.....loved "The Gingerbread Pirates".  Your talented children wrote in their journals....it is really nice to see words AND sentences starting to pop up on the pages!

We had our reading buddies visit and then ended the day with our favorite.....PE!!!!!!

Tuesday!

Enjoyed the day with lots of books - supposedly to help keep them calm!  A very nice one; "The Little Yellow Leaf", along with some silly holiday stories.

Had a lunch visitor....

We worked some more with pattern blocks - lots of good problem solving going on!

Monday!

Oh my goodness!  We can hardly contain ourselves around here......it's just too exciting waiting for Christmas.....be prepared if you are volunteering in this room any time soon!!!

First thing today, Mr. Adair came and showed us how he makes bread!  It was quiet in here for a bit while they listened to Mr. Adair explain the science of bread making....fascinating! 

 

Friday!!!!

Busy, busy day, well really, every day is a very busy day in kindergarten.....it comes with the territory!

We continue to read wonderful books...."Bear Stays Up For Christmas", "Who Will Help Santa This Year?", and their favorite "Who Will Guide My Sleigh Tonight?"- lots of laughs!

We finished up our literacy jobs, talked a lot about the sequence of events in books, and matching words to text then acting out those words....quite fun - these kindergartners are very animated!!

We had some visitors today......always nice......

went to the computer lab, listened / watched some stories off of the Tumblebooks website...

and had a blast exercising with the parachute in PE!!!!!!!

I apologize for sending your little ones home with soiled faces.....it was just SO exciting around here we didn't have enough time at the end of our snack to get them clean!

We started our day off with a bang...getting off the bus to the sounds of thunder...pretty exciting!

We made our own gingerbread creations this morning and covered them with candy.  We took them to the cafeteria and popped them in the oven to bake.  When we came back to get them.....THEY WERE GONE!!!!!!!  Ask your kindergartner what happened!

We continued on with our gingerbread books "Gingerbread Friends", and "The Gingerbread Cowboy".   A very exciting day!
