Short Day!

Ooooh, the day just flew by!  We read some fabulous books after learning that a "character" is someone they read about in a book.  We discussed some of our favorites.  We LOVED these:  "Tough Boris" by Mem Fox, and "The Little Red Hen" by Barry Downard which has very funny photographs.  After reading "Tough Boris" (who is a pirate, by the way), we learned a new song "What Shall We Do With a Sleepy Sailor".  It's a sea-shanty with a few minor changes to the words.  Our sailor is a pirate and is very sleepy!

Of course we had time for Free Choice at the end of the day....
