We worked a lot on our writing today, focusing on "describing words" - words that help us see other words better (adjectives)! And we blended syllables until the cows came home - it was so fun clapping them out we couldn't stop! We also played a new game on the Smart Board using word families.
More discussion about the brave civil rights workers continued with a great book "This Is The Dream". It's heart-warming to witness these kind, thinking kindergartners working out the world's problems!

Clarkie led us in a discussion about it tonight. I referred to "Dr King", and he rolled his eyes and said, "Mama! He's not a doctor; he's Martin Luther!"
